In 2006 Rick Magley, Sr. Principal and project leader for HHI Design was commissioned to design the common areas for a resort development consisting of five major hotels around a central lake retention system. The majority of the work centered around a significant entry feature, two linear parks, and a common identification/signage theme that all of the areas representatives felt represented their brands well. The emphasis was based on an arts and crafts/mission style using natural and durable materials in a traditional style.
