In 2004 as Principal in Charge of HHI Design, Rick Magley worked with Leeds Holdings Southeast to get 900 units entitled in Minneola, Florida. Shortly after an election where four of five commissioners were elected on a no-growth campaign, the process was encumbered with a great amount of opposition. But through the teams efforts the 900 units was approved and heralded as a step forward by the areas community, commission members, mayor and staff. A key component was the provision of a major park facility, allowing all of the towns residents a place to share weekends, special events, and celebrations alike in a quiet safe environment.
